Final Judges of SUKMA 2024 Combat & Arts

10 neutral judges from Muaythai Thailand led by Ajarn Thavorn and Ajarn Sawaeng and senior IFMA referee Ajarn Ryan from the United Kingdom became neutral judges throughout the SUKMA tournament held in Paragon Street Mall, Bintulu Sarawak under the initiative of Malaysia Muaythai Association.

For the preliminary match to the semi-final from 5 judges for each ring 3 Judges are experienced judges from Thailand.

For the final match that will use 1 ring, all 5 judges are from Thailand.

They come from the Thai Amateur Muaythai Association (AMTAT) and from the big Muaythai stadiums in Thailand.

For whichever point is given from 5 judges, 3 judges need to press the button simultaneously so that the athlete who scores will get points.

If the angle of the strike by athlete is not seen by the judges and only 2 judges can see from their seats and only 2 judges press then the point will not increase. An accurate score with strength and a loud impactful sound will usually be scored by all 5 judges. From the scoreboard you can see who is pressing and who is not pressing with the names of the judges who are on duty for each bout on the big screen.

A complete explanation was made to all coaches and team managers during the SUKMA meeting on how to calculate score points including the strength of the impact of the techniques that were made to be calculated.

For Wai Kru Mai Muay Art Muaythai scoring is done by mandatory moves such as starting postures 6 techniques, prom nang, prom yuen, finishing and joining techniques where there are some minimum mandatory movements that must be done. All judges and juries for the art of Muaythai are made entirely by neutral teams from Thailand.

Tomorrow 19 Aug is the final for Muaythai art and the 20th Aug is final of Muaythai combat SUKMA 2024.
