#TeamMalaysia consist of Colleen Augustin, @Brandon Tang ( of Monarchy MMA Gym ) and newcomer Jay Chong ( Elitez Mixed Martial Arts Fitness Academy ) is in Bahrain for IMMAF WMMA World Championship.
Colleen the 2019 Asian Strawweight female Champion & Brandon, 2019 Asian Strawweight bronze medallist is fighting in the senior championship, while Jay is fighting in the Junior championship.

Colleen Augustin scored a TKO win over her American opponent Marie Spencer.
12 NOV
Colleen Augustin fought a very experience Swedish opponent Nina Back that holds the record 9-3-0 going into that fight. Nina is a top contender in this World championship being 2019 European Championship silver medalist & 2018 World Championship silver medalist.
First 3 round was neck to neck by both fighters and all 3 judges scores it a draw, which calls for a 4th round to decide the winner. Colleen went on beast mode and scored a convincing TKO win due to strikes in the 2: 21 of 4th round.
Jay Chong the young prospect fought Lukas Piffko ( 6-4-0 ) of Czech Republic.
“ Jay lost to unanimous decision but fought very well for his debut. Very proud of him and he will get better with experience. Japan team head was very impressed by him. He’s young, just 18 years old but have BIG potential. His opponent from Czech Republic was heavier than him but he held his own. Just need more fight experience.” Rashid Salleh.

Colleen advance to the quarter-finals today & will face Ksenija Grabova of Estonia.
Brandon Tang will face Sagyn Kazbek of Kazakhstan.
Basically Team Malaysia is funded by their own supporter. Rashid Salleh through MASMMA oragnised a GoFundMe campaign to source for fund to send these talented athletes to Bahrain.
As for Jay Chong, he too was funded by his team members of Elitez MMA through the effort of his coach Andy Teh.
