Former Light Heavyweight champion, Glover Texeira ends his amazing MMA career with a record of 33-9-0, at 43 he challenged for the LHW title again last night in #UFC283 at home ground Brazil. But lost to young upcoming star Jamahal Hill.
Initially many have not given Glover much attention but he steadily picked up many important wins in 2019 and 2020 over names like Ion Cutelaba, Anthony Smith, Thiago Santos and in October 2021 defeated Jan Blachowicz with a R2 RNC.
Glover had a very close fight in June 2022 with Jiri Prochazka, but lost via RNC in R5
A rematch was planned but Jiri couldn’t defend his belt due to shoulder injury.
Nov 2022, Glover coached Alex Pereira to defeat the highly acclaimed Israel Adesanya to become the Middleweight champion.
