#UFC279 is going nuts. Even though it’s a non title event, but have been gaining lots of news.
This is supposed to be the swan song for Nate Diaz, last fight in his contract, taking on upcoming stars Khamzat.
The top 3 main bouts are all within same weight division welterweight/ middleweight,But just one guy screw up and all go whack.
Before the weight in, altercation backstage between Kevin Holland and Khamzat and also Diaz and his boys and Darren Till causes a ruckus that eventually causes the press conference to be cancel, first time in UFC history.
Yesterday Khamzat badly missed weight by additional 3.5kg. Diaz made weight on the dot, which raises question wheter the main event still on.
UFC was quick to shuffle and get agreement from the fighters, now Main card will be
1. Welterweight 5 round-
Tony Ferguson vs Nate Diaz
2. Catchweight 5 round : Khamzat Chimaev vs Kevin Holland
3. Catchweight 3 round: Li Jing Liang vs Rodriguez
