Muayfit is one of the earliest MMA gym in Malaysia. Started its first branch in Petaling Jaya in 2010 they are now an established martial arts gym that has 4 branches, namely PJ, Puchong, Kota Kemuning & Taipan. They have many classes of martial arts offering different discipline such as  Muaythai, MMA, Boxing, BJJ.

Most people would train martial arts for fitness, but many also wants to showcase what they learnt by competing. This is a way to gauge their progress not only physically but also mentally. As a gym with many active members Muayfit Taipan branch owner Max Lee decides to organize competition to give a platform not only so that his gym members can participate but also to grow the sports by bringing together all the martial arts practitioner from Klang Valley and also from different parts of Malaysia.

Max, a life long martial arts practitioner started learning TaeKwon-do in 1997, then Karate in 2003. Around 2014, Max enroll in MuayFit Puchong branch & began practicing MuayThai, BJJ & putiing it all together in MMA. He is now a Black Belt in BJJ.

Max founded Mega Fight Night ( MFN ), previously known as Muayfit Fight Night, MFN now focuses on organizing competitions in the discipline of Muaythai, Kickboxing & western Boxing. He hopes MFN can grow the martial arts industry, becoming a goal for martial arts practitioner to test their skills, to discover new talents and also become a great combat sports event that can showcase quality fights.

MFN 1 – started off with over 200 Participants and two rings for amateur.  Boxing, Kickboxing and Muaythai was competed. MFN introduce the MEGA 8 League Pro and Muay Sport A and where it’s the first part of the League.

MFN 2 – They use a one ring format focusing more on quality and fair match up. They had a kids bout that was featured in their main event as well as boxing. MFN 2 as well is the semi-finals part of the brackets.

The Ultimate Championship Showdown

This year it’s the 3rd edition. MFN 3 – Rise of Champion, The Grand Final will be held at Dewan Besar Tanjung, MBSA Seksyen 19, Shah Alam on 30 NOV 2024.

As the final event of 2024, Mega Fight Night (MFN) promises a thrilling end to the year with its most ambitious lineup yet. Featuring over 50 action-packed bouts, including boxing, MuayThai and kickboxing. This Grand Finals event brings together local and international talent for an unforgettable day of martial arts. MFN’s lineup includes everything from amateur matches to professional title fights, showcasing a range of skill levels and styles for all combat sports enthusiasts.

This year, MFN introduces SUPER 4 Boxing Event: A four-fighter elimination tournament that will bring boxing fans an intense showdown. Winner will get RM300 + Trophy + Medal & Certificate, Runner-Up: RM150 + Medal & Certificate. As of date of this post, one slot is still vacant due to one injured boxer pull out.

Lead Card: A Packed Day of Over 50 Fights

Starting at 9:00 AM, the lead card will feature an impressive lineup of amateur fights across various age groups and skill levels. Spectators can expect a diverse array of disciplines, including Muay Thai, boxing, and kickboxing. This all-day lineup will allow fans to witness the next generation of fighters honing their skills.

International Fighters & Final Event of 2024

MFN will welcome international fighters to the ring, adding new layers of competition with styles from across the globe. The final event of 2024 brings the best of combat sports to Malaysia, setting a high bar for events to come in 2025.

The final part of the MEGA 8 will be the hi-light.  Semi-pro ( Muay Class A ) winner goes back with a silver colour title belt and PRO winner gets a glittering gold  belt and cash prize of RM4000! The Semi-Pro belt will be fought out between Johnny Chong & Nicholas Wong.

For the first time, MFN will crown the MEGA 8 Muay Thai Bantamweight Champion, awarding the prestigious title belt to the victor. The Mega 8 Grand Final Pro Title will be decided between Hazril Nazmi vs Fakhrul Hadi.
