Persatuan BJJ Sabah MVP Award 2019

Persatuan Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Negeri Sabah ( PBJJNS ) organized their 2^nd award night on 21 Dec 2019 at Venetian Café Kota Kinabalu. This is the continuation of what started last year to award the Most Valuable Player Award to their members who achieve good results throughout the year.

In the opening speech by Deputy President Syaiful Sufyyan Sidin, he mentioned the challenges PBJJNS had to go through in 2018  & 2019. Mostly because of challenges of getting enough funds. Nevertheless, PBJJNS managed to organized a few important BJJ event in Sabah. The Borneo Women BJJ Championship, Borneo Kids BJJ Challenge in April & Copa De Borneo in October.

PBJJNS President Davin Soh Boon How also was promoted to Black Belt in October, making him the 1^st and currently the only BJJ Black Belt in Borneo.

Syaiful encouraged local Sabahan BJJ practitioner to register as a member to enable them to get the support from PBJJNS & also enjoy the benefit of being a member, such as :

1) 50% discount on registration fee for competition organised by PBJJNS

2) FREE seminar at least once a year

3) Eligibility to be selected for the MVP awards

4) Free to join the MVP dinner

5) MVP winners enjoy free registration for competition organised by PBJJNS

6) Appreciation token for international comp

The award was given out by PBJJNS president Soh Boon How and witness by MILO Sabah-Brunei representative Tan Wallace.
