This weekend in Putik, Pengkalan Cepa Kelantan. More than 400 Muaythai athletes will converge for the Muaythai National Elite Senior & Junior Championship 2022 organised by Muaythai Malaysia.
This is an event many have been waiting for and each state is sending their best athletes to compete for Muaythai honours. Watch out for Selangor. Their newly formed PGMS ( Persatuan Gabungan Muaythai Selangor ) is sending 20 athletes , 13 male & 7 female. They are putting high hopes for their team to bring back glittering medals.
Muaythai Malaysia is having a very busy year for 2022. After a quiet 2020-2021 due to the MCO, they have been fast in organizing themselves into many activities in 2022 as the SOP was loosen.
Right before the Chinese New Year holidays arrive in Feb, National Inter-Club was held in end of January, together with selection for SEA Games athletes.
After the National Elite in Kelantan, come April will see National Pro Muaythai, which will be hosted by Selangor in Panasonic Stadium Shah Alam.
Come August Muaythai Malaysia will again be busy as one of the sports in SUKMA 2022 which will be held in Kuala Lumpur.
