HOSTING HISTORICAL ASJJF EVENT IN MALAYSIA, SHOWCASING INTERNATIONAL TALENT IN SPORT BRAZILIAN JIU-JITSU

EkoCheras Mall, Malaysia, November 23, 2023 — Scrambleclash Events, a prominent force in the Jiu-Jitsu community, successfully organized the first-ever Asian Sports Jiu-Jitsu Federation (ASJJF) event in Malaysia at EkoCheras Mall on November 18th and 19th, 2023. The event featured an international lineup of competitors, black belt seminars, and thrilling superfight matchups, marking a significant milestone for the Sport Jiu-Jitsu community in Malaysia.

ASJJF was founded by Professor João Silva, a key figure in the foundation of the Sport Jiu-Jitsu International Federation (SJJIF) in June 2012. The SJJIF’s mission is to unify and organize Sport Jiu-Jitsu, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and Jiu-Jitsu federations globally with the goal of reaching Olympic recognition while preserving the sport’s unique history, culture, philosophy, and lineage.

Scrambleclash Events proudly brought the ASJJF to Malaysia, hosting an array of activities including a black belt seminar by Robert Oda from Carpe Diem Hiro, Japan, and a rules seminar by SJJIF founder Professor Edison Kagohara. The seminars, held on November 17th, provided valuable insights for participants, particularly in referee training for future events.
